Meet the residents

Eleven characters, one family

Right now Riverview is home to five sheep, two alpacas, two cats and two dogs. Every one of them has a name and a personality, so here's a proper introduction.

Sheep

Ralph

Nothing much ruffles Ralph. He's cool, calm and collected, right up until someone offers him a pat, and then he's all yours.

Sheep

Maple

Maple started out shy, but she's slowly coming out of her shell. These days she'll even come over to say hello, as long as Dottie's close behind.

Sheep

Dottie

Dottie and Maple are a package deal, and Dottie's usually the one hiding behind. She's shy, but give her time and her cheeky side comes out.

Sheep

Florence

Florence may have an injured leg, but it hasn't dimmed her confidence one bit. She's a sweet, self-assured girl and a lovely sister to Hazel.

Sheep

Hazel

Hazel is a cheeky one, and she'll happily help herself to pellets straight out of your hand. She's Florence's sister and, let's be honest, absolutely gorgeous.

Alpaca

Marge

Marge has the most incredible eyelashes on the property, and she knows it. Admire them from a respectful distance, though, because pats are strictly not on the menu.

Alpaca

George

We call him Curious George, and he's come a long way. He still hasn't quite grasped personal space, though, so don't be surprised if he plants one right on your lips.

Cat

Forrest

Shy, sweet and a total mama's boy, Forrest's favourite pastime is tracking down the sunniest spot on the property for a long nap.

Cat

Rascal

If something's happening, Rascal's in the middle of it. He's the friendliest cat around and will happily ask you for cuddles.

Dog

Poncho

Poncho has been with Alyssa since puppyhood, all the way from the US to Roxburgh. He's the heart of the property and the goodest boy there is.

Newest arrival
Dog

Sputnik

Sputnik is the newest member of the family and follows Poncho absolutely everywhere. He's cheeky, full of beans and still has a bit to learn, but he's got the best teacher.

Know an animal in need?

We're small by design and can only take on animals we can properly care for, but we'd still love to hear about them. If we can't help directly, we'll try to point you in the right direction.
